The HEB Center is Cedar Parks premier events center The H-E-B Center in Cedar Park is the biggest attraction in the entire area. The venue seats over 8700 people and is the central hub for Austin’s minor league sports teams including the Austin Spurs, Texas Stars of the American Hockey League and the Austin Aces of World TeamTennis. The arena was built in 2008 at a cost of $55 million and the official grand opening was in 2009 and featured a concert by country music star George Strait. In 2016 H-E-B purchased the naming rights for the events center and the name was then changed to the H-E-B Events Center.
This park is totally cool dude, or whatever the kids are saying these days! The Brushy Creek Sports Park houses the totally tubular, far out, Cedar Park Skatepark (this lingo is still in right?). This skatepark was custom designed from the ground up and is Austin’s premiere skatepark. Spanning over 15,000 sq ft, this venue is for the serious skaters in the Cedar Park area. The page for the park says that it includes a mini bowl, large bowl and modern street course, whatever that means! The park was built by SPA Skateparks and New Line Skateparks.
An awesome place to chill out with the whole family Brushy Creek Lake Park is definitely fun for the whole family. This 90 acre park has a ton of awesome facilities including an awesome playground, miles of hike and bike trails, a pump you up workout station, sand volleyball courts and an awesome wildlife observationee area! The park also has a relaxing 38-acre lake that you can fish or kayak on. The various pavillions at the park can be rented for events and parties and the water park is open from 9 am – 7 pm from May to August.
The Cedar Bark Park is the place to be seen for the prestigious puppies of the Cedar Park area. The park is over 5 acres of puppy paradise with awesome amentities such as a doggie pond, several puppy waste stations, watering holes, dog showers and several benches once you pouch wears you out! You can also get invlovled and meet other passionite pet owners by volunteering at the Bark Park. Volunteers help out with setting up special events, raise money for the park and offer other assistance that helps in maintaining the park on an ongoing basis.
The Cedar Park Sculpture Garden is an artistic retreat in Austin for the art enthusiast. The garden houses a number of different sculptures from various (mainly Austin and Texas) artists and is a great place to visit for the expert and curious alike. Most of the works that are shown in the garden are on loan from various artists and are available for purchase. The park was created by the Cedar Park Arts Advisory Board in 2012 and has been delighting Cedar Park residents ever since.
